Deb Mullins
Deb Mullins, Artistic Director and founder member of EEA, has been involved in the arts for over 20 years during which time she has managed, devised and directed hundreds of outdoor events, shows, processions and participatory projects. She has run numerous training courses for teachers and has been commissioned by Hereford and Shropshire County Councils to deliver professional development workshops for artists.
Deb has contributed to the formation of a new in BA degree course in Creative Events: Design and Production, at the University of Kent in Chatham. Recently Deb and artist Di Jones delivered a programme of seminars and workshops at the University to help develop this unique new programme in UK Higher Education. The course programme, launched in 2006, is located at the University of Kent’s exciting new Medway campus in Chatham’s historical Dockyard. EEA will also be delivering course modules for the University in the future.
Deb has overseen work placment programmes at EEA with secondary school pupils, FE and HE students from the University of Greenwich, Rose Bruford College and Dartington College of Arts. EEA offers a practical experience offering opportunities for experience in a wide range of arts disciplines.
Deb is currently a Board member of Creative Partnerships East and South London, Pursued by a Bear Theatre Company and has also contributed to the Thames Gateway Cultural Forum on the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Deb’s involvement in Creative Partnerships has also included 2 mentoring schemes for teachers. She has also contributed regularly to the Street Arts sector conferences with seminars on education, celebratory arts and street theatre.
