40 young people from 4 European countries ( Estonia, United Kingdom, Slovakia and Czech Republic) will meet for 7 days at VAT Teater in Tallinn/ Estonia to exchange stories and experiences from their lifes in school.
Using different methods facilitated by international specialists the young people will receive an insight in live and problems of other countries. They all will prepare themes in texts to bring with and to share. This will be the start of a fruitful discussion about significant topics and will lay a strong basis for working together. The artists will help the young people to express themselves, to defeat escapements and barriers of language. This is an active contribution for a non-formal learning process.
As a result of this week in Tallinn the participants have:
- discussed and found artistic expressions to socially relevant topics for youth;
- experienced intercultural learning;
- explored a multidisciplinary approach to text and stories (songs, performing arts, pictures);
- gained an understanding of aspects of Estonian culture and traditions.
